Come supercharge the electrification of commercial fleets for a greener planet with Synop! We are looking for passionate, driven, ownership-minded problem-solvers to help us build products to put commercial electric vehicles in a position to succeed.
Synop, Inc is hiring our first Engineering Manager to help lead and scale our team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Engineering and play a key role in people management, engineering efficiency, and system health — all in support of building enterprise-grade systems for the electric future.
Synop is building the platform that powers the future of commercial electrification. Founded in 2021, we've quickly become one of the leading commercial EV platforms, helping commercial EV fleets scale their operations. We work with fleets, utilities, aggregators, and operators to deliver reliable, cost-optimized charging, energy management, fleet services, and billing solutions — so that the electric transition is not just possible, but profitable. Our remote-first team is small, sharp, and mission-driven. We value clarity, pragmatism, and people who take ownership across boundaries.
You're an engineering leader who thrives in ambiguity and finds satisfaction in building strong teams, scalable processes, and impactful products. You’ve led distributed teams, supported engineers across levels of experience, and understand how to balance startup urgency with long-term sustainability. You communicate clearly and have a systems mindset; you’re also excited to roll up your sleeves when needed.
You take pride in building happy & productive teams and engineering cultures. You care about code quality, performance, and cost. You're motivated by helping others grow & succeed, and by solving problems that make us a company that stands apart.
