Job Summary

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for an Autonomous Vehicle Production Technician II to assemble, test, and troubleshoot autonomous shuttles to ensure deployment readiness. This role will report directly to the Autonomous Vehicle Production Engineer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair autonomous vehicles
  • Provide production assembly feedback to design engineers
  • Troubleshoot non-conforming parts for root cause identification
  • Setup, flashing, and calibrating of drive by wire components and sensors
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace
  • Execute and record in-process quality manufacturing checks and inspections
  • Contribute to the development of work instructions
  • Develop assembly best practices and train other technicians to them
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or ASE certifications as an automotive technician, or 5+ years relevant work experience in automotive service and repair
  • Experience diagnosing issues with automotive systems
  • Familiarity with ADAS systems
  • Proficiency in building and testing electrical harnesses from prints and working with engineering to make improvements
  • Proficiency in fabrication and assembly of mechanical assemblies while providing feedback to engineering on design optimization for production
  • Experience using OBD scanners, CAN tools to troubleshoot
  • Proficient in rapid prototyping, 3-D printing technologies, and basic machining tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Proficiency in Google G-Suite or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean and 5S
  • Experience creating Manufacturing Work Instructions
  • Expert mechanical and electrical fabrication skills
  • Previous startup experience
